Aerial Infrared (AIR) and Daylight HD video
Infrared and visible spectrum video from a fixed-wing aircraft for natural resource data collection and search & rescue/ surveillance missions . Our system includes integrated GIS mapping software and industry leading optical zoom. Our data is typically collected at a safe 1 mile stand-off distance.
We use a military-grade, infrared and visible spectrum imaging system we call "IRIS"
IRIS is mounted to a fixed-wing aircraft platform and includes:
- High-definition (HD) visible spectrum and the most .advanced, cryogenically-cooled-infrared imaging sensor.
- An on-board integrated GIS mapping computer system.
- Powerful electro-optical zoom.
- 4-axis gimbal with IMU image stabilizer.
- Laser illuminator and target detection.
Projects and Protocol
OAR specializes in aerial infrared (AIR) and accommodates a range of applications.
Over the last 10 years, we've conducted AIR surveys for private, federal, state, and local government agencies across the United States and Canada. We've surveyed a variety of wildlife species, including sage grouse, Columbia sharp-tailed grouse, pheasant, elk, mule deer, coyote, bighorn sheep, moose, grizzly bear, salmon, feral pigs, pronghorn antelope, wolves, mountain lions, pelicans, cormorants, and wild horses.
Our team has developed specific surveying protocols through investigation and analysis focused on managing the variables that influence detectability and data quality. Our protocols are subject and terrain-specific.
